Eletric Power

Clients are advised on legal matters related to the power sector, across generation, transmission, distribution, and trading activities. The approach combines regulatory, contractual, and corporate expertise with a practical understanding of the industry, delivering secure and efficient solutions throughout the entire value chain.

Work covers the development, implementation, and operation of energy projects, including self-generation, distributed generation, and centralised generation. Support is provided to investors, developers, traders, and consumers on matters such as authorisations, licences, concessions, auctions, and access to transmission and distribution systems, as well as the structuring and negotiation of power purchase and other energy-related agreements.

Clients are also represented before the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) and other sector authorities, including in administrative proceedings and regulatory interactions. This includes advising on the interpretation and application of sector regulations, supporting strategic decision-making, and mitigating regulatory risks.

In addition, advice is provided on the corporate structuring of projects, the establishment of special purpose vehicles, M&A transactions involving energy assets, and the conduct of legal due diligence processes. The approach is integrated and focused on enabling projects and delivering value with legal certainty.
