Antitrust

Companies are advised on competition law matters through a combination of practical experience and in-depth knowledge of antitrust regulations. A strategic approach is adopted to identify and mitigate risks, particularly in corporate transactions and in business activities that may impact market dynamics.

Clients are represented before the Administrative Council for Economic Defence (CADE) in merger control filings, from initial risk assessment through to the full conduct of proceedings. This includes acting for third parties affected by transactions, with a focus on preserving a balanced competitive environment.

Advice is also provided in investigations and administrative proceedings involving potential violations of competition law, including cases related to anti-competitive conduct. Work covers the development of defence strategies as well as engagement and negotiations with authorities, where appropriate.

In addition, companies are supported in the implementation of preventive measures, including the development of internal protocols, the conduct of internal investigations, and the review of business practices, with a view to ensuring compliance and reducing exposure to competition risks.
